How I Started My Network Marketing Business While Working Full Time

I didn’t set out looking for a side hustle. I was looking for more energy.

Like a lot of people, I was working full time, trying to stay healthy, and quietly wondering if there was a better way to feel good during the day—and maybe even create more flexibility and freedom in the future.

That’s when I stumbled into two things that changed everything:

  1. Exogenous ketones

  2. Network marketing done differently

Let me explain.

From Burnout to a Better Way

At the time, I had a full time job that I really enjoyed while trying to stay active, eat right, and keep my brain sharp. But most days, I felt like I was running on fumes. Afternoons were the hardest—foggy, sluggish, and snack-prone.

My husband and I were already into health and wellness, but we were still missing that extra edge. We found it through intermittent fasting, smart hydration, and exogenous ketones. The change was fast, and the clarity we felt was undeniable.

Energy Creates Opportunity

Once we dialed in our daily routine, something unexpected happened: I had energy after work. That leftover mental fuel made me start asking bigger questions—like: what if I could help others feel this good? What if sharing something I was already doing could become something more?

That was the seed. And network marketing became the vehicle.

Starting a Network Marketing Business While Working Full Time

I didn’t jump in with a perfect plan. I started small, with intentionality. Here’s what helped:

  • Leading with value. I didn’t approach people to sell—I shared what was working. How I felt better. What we were experimenting with. That natural curiosity turned into conversations.

  • Leaning into mentorship and leadership. I didn’t try to reinvent the wheel. I followed systems our team had already built—scripts, onboarding flows, content ideas. That support let me leverage my time and stay focused on connecting instead of constantly creating.

  • Using small windows of time. I used lunch breaks and commutes to listen to team trainings, respond to messages, or prep content. It was never about having hours a day—it was about being consistent with the time I had.

  • Letting go of perfection. I wasn’t a health coach. I wasn’t a full-time influencer. I was a real person sharing a real experience, and that was enough.

Why Network Marketing Made Sense

There are a lot of business models out there. But for me, network marketing checked all the right boxes:

  • I didn’t need inventory.

  • I didn’t need to be an expert.

  • I didn’t have to figure it out alone.

  • I could build on my time and scale with support.

And maybe most importantly—it was centered around helping people. Feeling better, getting stronger, gaining confidence, and in some cases, creating a path to income that fit around real life.

What I’d Tell You If You’re Thinking About It

You don’t need a big audience. You don’t need a degree in nutrition. You just need belief, a willingness to learn, and a desire to help.

Start with your own experience. Let people in. Share your habits. Ask better questions. And follow the roadmap your mentors give you—it’s there for a reason.

Network marketing gave me more than energy. It gave me purpose, flexibility, and an unexpected opportunity to lead.
